Billionaire Michael Bloomberg told the Financial Times he’s still considering running for president, as an independent. Last month he said he might run if he thought the Democrats would nominate Bernie and the Republicans would nominate Trump. Now he’s considering it regardless. My guess is he’ll run. After all, he has a large ego, a thirst for power, and a fortune that makes Trump’s look like chump change. He’s also an economic conservative who’s taken liberal positions on gun control and the environment. In other words, the epitome of the corporate American establishment in this Second Gilded Age.
What do you think of him, and his chances?

“I find the level of discourse and discussion distressingly banal and an outrage and an insult to the voters,” he told the FT, before adding that the US public deserved “a lot better”.

The 72-year-old was knighted in honour of his "prodigious entrepreneurial and philanthropic endeavours". As an American citizen he cannot be called "Sir Mike", but can add KBE (Knight Commander) to the end of his name.
