The Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61, was written by Ludwig van Beethoven in 1806. Its first performance by Franz Clement was unsuccessful and for some decades the work languished in obscurity, until revived in 1844 by the then 12-year-old violinist Joseph Joachim with the orchestra of the London Philharmonic Society conducted by Felix Mendelssohn. Joachim would later claim it to be the "greatest" German violin concerto.[1] Since then it has become one of the best-known and regularly performed violin concertos. WIKIPEDIA

The first known recording of Beethoven's violin concerto was made in 1923 for His Master's Voice by violinist Isolde Menges, with Landon Ronald conducting the Royal Albert Hall Orchestra. - Date: December 23, 1806
- Composer: Ludwig van Beethoven
- Work: Violin Concerto in D major, op. 61
- Performer: Franz Clement
- Occasion: A benefit concert for Franz Clement
- The child prodigy violinist Franz Clement commissioned the concerto, and Beethoven wrote it quickly for him.
- The premiere occurred just two days after Beethoven finished writing the piece, and it's possible Clement had to sight-read parts of it during the performance.
- Although not initially well-received, the concerto later became one of Beethoven's most beloved and highly regarded masterpieces.

the Fourth Piano Concerto 1808年的12月22日
WIKIPEDIA
The Beethoven concert of 22 December 1808 was a benefit concert held for Ludwig van Beethoven at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna that featured the public premieres of Beethoven's Fifth and Sixth Symphonies, the Fourth Piano Concerto and the Choral Fantasy. This concert, advertised as an Akademie (the German term for concert at that time), was held in a very cold hall and lasted about four hours. Its featured performers were an orchestra, chorus, vocal soloists, and Beethoven as the conductor and piano soloist. Beethoven biographer Barry Cooper calls the concert's content the "most remarkable" of Beethoven's career.[1]
