Padiamun was a priest who lived around 3,000 years ago in ancient Egypt. This wooden stela from his tomb shows him wearing a leopard skin, as he offers ointment to Osiris (god of the afterlife). Leopard skins were worn regularly by Egyptian priests in ceremonies, so this depiction isn’t pure fantasy. The hieroglyphs offer prayers to Osiris on behalf of Padiamun.
