Ichiro Suzuki (鈴木 一朗 Suzuki Ichirō?, born October 22, 1973), often referred tomononymously as Ichiro (イチロー Ichirō?), is a Japanese professional baseball right fielder for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has spent the bulk of his career with two teams: the Orix Blue Wave of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) in Japan, where he began his professional career, and the Seattle Mariners of MLB in the United States. After playing for the Mariners, he played two and a half seasons in MLB with theNew York Yankees. Ichiro has established a number of batting records, including MLB'ssingle-season record for hits with 262. He had 10 consecutive 200-hit seasons, the longest streak by any player in history. Between his major league career hits total in both Japan and the United States, Ichiro stands at second place all-time, trailing only Pete Rose.

直到6/10，Ichiro只剩27支安打就可進入大聯盟的「3000安打俱樂部」；Ichiro在美、日職棒安打數總合已達4251支，再打5支就追平1986年美國球員Peter Rose 創下4256支安打的世界紀錄。
Ichiro自2001年加入大聯盟，打擊率一直維持三成以上，直到2011年才掉到兩成，去年更低到只有兩成二。但今年，已經42歲的Ichiro，又奇蹟式的恢復打擊率，目前達到三成八，之前還超過四成。
