本處姚大使接受最新一期TaiwanPlus節目《Zoom In Zoom Out》專訪，分析台灣與英國如何在挑戰中依然穩健推進雙邊合作與夥伴關係。
姚大使在節目中也分享台英關係的現況與未來發展、英國為何越來越明確為台灣發聲、如何反制中國敘事與錯誤解讀聯大第2758號決議、台英如何合作對抗錯假訊息、深化安全與經貿合作等議題。
台灣將持續與英國及理念相近夥伴攜手合作，共同促進區域與全球的和平、穩定與繁榮。
Ambassador Vincent Yao of the Taipei Representative Office in the UK was featured in the latest episode of TaiwanPlus’s “Zoom In Zoom Out,” where he analysed how Taiwan and the United Kingdom continue to steadily advance bilateral cooperation amid growing challenges.
In the interview, Ambassador Yao discussed the current state and future outlook of UK–Taiwan relations, the reasons behind the UK’s increasingly clear support for Taiwan, how to counter China’s narrative and its misinterpretation of UN General Assembly Resolution 2758, and how Taiwan and the UK are working together to combat disinformation and deepen security and economic cooperation.
Taiwan will continue to work closely with the UK and other like-minded partners to promote regional and global peace, stability, and prosperity.

【BBC Newsnight專訪本處姚大使】
本處姚大使於上任後首度接受BBC第2台晚間深度新聞報導電視節目「新聞之夜」（Newsnight）專訪（節目於1月18日晚間播出），談及我國大選情形，自我防衛能力及國際參與等議題。
姚大使感謝英國在選後隨即表達祝賀，並提到中國沒有民主選舉，卻稱我國大選是中國地方選舉，世界各國的致賀行為干涉中國內政，如此論述相當荒謬且不值回應。
姚大使也提到我國推動「有意義參與」聯合國體系及爭取國際貢獻的目標，並呼籲理念相近國家協助我國參與相關平台與機制。

Representative Yao’s first interview since taking office was broadcast last night on BBC Newsnight. Representative Yao thanked the UK for congratulating Taiwan on its successful, free and fair elections.
Representative Yao stated that Taiwan is working to make sure that China believes the cost of invading Taiwan would be too high to even imagine taking military action against Taiwan, but that Taiwan alone cannot achieve this. Taiwan will continue working closely with international partners such as the UK and USA, and calls on likeminded countries to assist Taiwan in being able to meaningfully participate in the UN.
