The Techno-skeptic narrative says the AI bubble is real and dangerous, with interconnected tech giants creating a house of cards that could trigger economic collapse. The concentration of deals among a few players means when AI promises fall short, the contagion will devastate markets worse than 2008.

Google unveiled Gemini 2.5 Pro, the first in a new family of advanced AI reasoning models designed to pause and think before answering complex questions.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai shared the development saying, “Gemini 2.5 is here, and it's our most intelligent AI model ever.”

Gemini 2.5 Pro is a multimodal model optimized for agentic reasoning, code generation, and visually rich web development. It is now available through Google AI Studio and the Gemini app for users subscribed to Gemini Advanced.

Pichai also shared an example stating that users can simply prompt the AI to create a basic video game—such as the well-known Chrome Dino game — and it will generate the fully executable code from just a single-line instruction.

On Aider Polyglot, a benchmark for code editing, Gemini 2.5 Pro scored 68.6%, ahead of top models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and DeepSeek.

It also earned a 63.8% on SWE-bench Verified, a software development benchmark, surpassing OpenAI's o3-mini and DeepSeek's R1, though it fell short of Anthropic's Claude 3.7 Sonnet.

谷歌重組更名Alphabet 中國迅速屏蔽新域名

互聯網巨頭谷歌對企業結構進行全面改組，並成立新的母公司，名為Alphabet。但該公司的域名www.abc.xyz上線不久後便在中國遭到屏蔽。

（德國之聲中文網）谷歌創始人之一拉里·佩奇（Larry Page）週二稍早前在公司博客上宣布了改組的消息。迄今的企業谷歌將在精簡後成為新企業Alphabet的子公司。但Alphabet公司的域名www.abc.xyz上線不滿24小時便在中國遭到屏蔽。總部設於加州的谷歌2010年因內容審查問題退出中國市場，該公司與中國政府的關係始終緊繃。北京去年全面封鎖谷歌的Gmail電子郵箱服務。

儘管如此，有關谷歌重組的消息仍被《人民日報》等中國官方媒體廣為報導。報導中甚至直接提及Alphabet公司的新域名，並形容其網站地址“打破常規”。

截至目前為止,abc.xyz網頁內容只有一封佩奇的公開信和一個通往谷歌現有投資關係網頁的鏈接。

佩奇闡述改組的理由說："我們的企業現在運作良好，但我們想，還可以做得更乾淨、更負責任。"在Alphabet的架構下，谷歌"彼此並不相關"的業務領域可以更好地獨立運作。"強有力的業務負責人加上獨立運作，將使Alphabet繁榮發展。"目前，谷歌多種不同的項目並行，從無人駕駛的汽車，到無人機送貨服務，還有供糖尿病患者使用的智能隱形眼鏡。
