世界首富馬斯克在大力支持特朗普（台譯：川普）再次競選總統並成功後，也戮力支持英國極右翼的政治活動。而他對英國右翼新興黨派改革黨（Reform）的立場，從一開始的熱切支持並計畫大幅捐獻，到現在轉為公開批評，甚至要求黨領導人去職，中間只花了短短三個禮拜。
2024年12月中旬，改革黨創辦人兼領導人、主打脫歐及移民議題長達30年的法拉吉（Nigel Farage）與黨財務長共赴特朗普宅邸，與馬斯克面談長達一小時。會後，法拉吉證實他們確實「有談到錢」，不過否認外界盛行的傳聞，表示數額不可能高達1億美金。

去年11月德國紅綠燈政府解體後，馬斯克曾用德語稱德國總理肖爾茨是「傻瓜」(Olaf ist ein Narr)。他在之前的另一則帖子中則預測肖爾茨將在2月的德國大選中落敗，還把他的名字拼錯了。


馬斯克的商業活動嚴重依賴中國。他曾對習近平大肆讚賞，特斯拉的在華業務可能需要他交出敏感信息。

Tesla has replaced some of its laid-off US employees with foreign workers on H-1B visas, a move that CEO Elon Musk is now advocating to expand.
Musk has been campaigning for an increase in the H-1B visa cap, which allows skilled foreign workers to take jobs in the US for specialty occupations, mostly in tech.
While the program offers benefits in bringing talent to the US, it has sparked controversy over potential wage suppression and the power it grants employers, leading to political divisions on the issue.



A recent biography of Elon Musk depicts a man who wields more power than almost any other person on the planet but seems estranged from humanity itself.

Sam Altman has criticized Elon Musk, calling him a "bully" and discussing Musk’s history of public feuds with figures like Bezos, Gates, and Zuckerberg in a recent interview.


While acknowledging Musk's key role in OpenAI’s early success, Altman notes that Musk left the board in 2018 and has since become a vocal critic, even filing a lawsuit against the company.


Altman believes Musk's animosity stems from OpenAI’s success and Musk’s rivalry with his own AI venture, xAI, asserting that Musk would support OpenAI’s current direction if he were in charge.

Elon Musk, the richest person in the world – and the first ever to be worth more than $400 billion – hasn’t been known as a prodigious philanthropist. While his Musk Foundation did give away $237 million in grants in 2023, according to a newly available tax filing, that’s much less than the country’s biggest givers, such as MacKenzie Scott, and less than the IRS required his foundation to have given. So where did Musk’s foundation, which boasts total assets of $9.45 billion as of late 2023, give its $237 million?

Elon Musk has reaffirmed his $1 billion offer to purchase Wikipedia, which he initially made last year. Although the Wikimedia Foundation last year made the statement that the platform is not for sale.


Musk's proposal was made in response to concerns about the Wikimedia Foundation’s financial management, with the billionaire suggesting that the acquisition could improve Wikipedia’s accuracy.


Although the offer remains open, it is unclear whether Wikipedia will accept Musk’s proposal, with Musk previously indicating the name change (From Wikipedia to D*ickipedia) would last for at least a year if accepted.

Counseling the Ukrainians to “seek peace” sounds especially rich coming from someone who is “energized,” Isaacson says, by “dire threats.” But then the overall sense you get from this biography is that for all of Musk’s talk about the world-changing magic of “the algorithm,” he ultimately does what he wants. He will order his companies to scrimp fanatically on some things while insisting that they spend lavishly on others. At Tesla, Musk’s obsession with the minutiae of automotive design inflated costs and drained the company of cash. At SpaceX, instead of spending $1,500 for the kind of latch used by NASA, an engineer figured out how to modify a $30 latch intended for a bathroom stall. When Musk acquired Twitter last year, he eliminated 75 percent of the staff.

Since Musk’s acquisition, hate speech on the platform has proliferated while ad sales have plunged. Reading this book, one begins to wonder if the old bird-site will be Musk’s Waterloo. “He thought of it as a technology company,” Isaacson writes, “when in fact it was an advertising medium based on human emotions and relationships.” Isaacson believes that Musk wanted to buy Twitter because he had been so bullied as a kid and “now he could own the playground.” It’s an awkward metaphor, but that’s also what makes it perfect. Owning a playground won’t stop you from getting bullied. If you think about it, owning a playground won’t get you much of anything at all.
