［我的人權工作伙伴］
昨天的「政經看民視」，訪問了我的荷蘭朋友韋傑理（Gerrit van der Wees)。他是我在一九七九年美麗島事件發生時，一起從事人權工作的伙伴。我搜集中文報紙資料，他把所有報導翻譯成英文。然後把完整的訊息寄送國際人權組織，那是我最難忘的時期。稍後，我南下洛杉磯參加《美麗島週報》，他繼續在華盛頓大學編輯人權資料。
韋傑理畢業後，回去荷蘭工作。退休後，又去華府做與台灣相關的人權工作。我們好久沒有見面了，四天前，在台北福華飯店一起晚餐。昨天看見他在民視接受訪談，許多舊時的記憶又在回來了。我們年輕時，都一直懷抱著人權夢想。現在台灣已經有了三次政黨輪替，那是我們當年未曾預期的。在電視上，看他侃侃而談，才察覺那年的夢想並未虛擲。
