"Die Wohnung" exhibition became a landmark in the history of modernist housing, showcasing how rationalist principles and industrialized construction techniques could redefine urban living. Mies van der Rohe served as the artistic director of the exhibition, bringing together notable architects, including Le Corbusier, to experiment with the ideas of functionalism and the "New Objectivity" movement. The Weissenhof estate, which emerged from this collaboration, is still regarded as an iconic example of the International Style.
