羅丹的埃及
從2025年11月19日至2026年3月15日，羅丹博物館將與紐約大學古代世界研究所（ISAW）合作，推出「羅丹的埃及」展覽。這是美國首個專門展出奧古斯特·羅丹埃及藏品傑作的展覽。
該系列收藏包含羅丹生前收藏的1000餘件作品，展現了他對埃及藝術的濃厚興趣，以及他對埃及藝術中各種人體表現形式的讚賞。
這次紐約展覽特別借展了60餘件珍貴藏品，揭示了激發羅丹創作靈感的泉源。

羅丹博物館收藏了大量古埃及藝術品，這些藏品既有奧古斯特·羅丹一生中收集的，也有他的朋友、藝術家、藝術品經銷商和收藏家贈予的。
羅丹既是雕塑家又是收藏家，他從古埃及汲取了獨特的靈感，並由此塑造了他的創作過程。儘管從未踏足尼羅河畔，羅丹一生收藏了超過1000件埃及文物。他探索埃及藝術家如何描繪人體，並從中汲取靈感，影響自己的想像：線條與輪廓、圖案與重複、碎片、組合、簡化與宏偉。
本次展覽將羅丹的埃及收藏與他自己的作品並置呈現，揭示了古埃及對其藝術的決定性影響。從簡單的小雕像到雄偉的雕塑，《羅丹的埃及》邀請參觀者將兩種截然不同的人體美學並置：古埃及的美學與羅丹的藝術理念，並透過展覽引發的對話，思考二者之間錯綜複雜的聯繫。
本次展覽由羅丹博物館與國際藝術史研究所（ISAW）共同舉辦。
值此《羅丹的埃及》展覽之際，羅丹博物館的六十餘件藏品齊聚紐約，共同展現羅丹從埃及學中汲取的強大靈感，以及他如何將這些靈感融入到自己的創作之中。

Rodin's Egypt
From November 19, 2025, to March 15, 2026, the Musée Rodin, in collaboration with the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World (ISAW) at New York University (NYU), is presenting Rodin's Egypt, the very first exhibition in the United States dedicated to the masterpieces of Auguste Rodin’s Egyptian collection.
Comprising over 1,000 objects acquired during the sculptor’s lifetime, this collection reflects Rodin’s deep fascination with Egyptian art and his admiration for its various representations of the human body across a wide diversity of works.
Thanks to an exceptional loan of more than sixty pieces, the exhibition in New York reveals the sources of inspiration that fueled Rodin’s creative genius.

"Antiquity is my youth"
The Musée Rodin holds an important collection of Ancient Egyptian works, acquired by Auguste Rodin throughout his life, as well as gifts from his circle of friends, artists, art dealers, and collectors.
Both sculptor and collector, Rodin found a unique inspiration in Ancient Egypt, which shaped his creative process. Having acquired over 1,000 Egyptian objects during his lifetime, without ever setting foot on the banks of the Nile, Rodin explored how Egyptian artists approached the human body, influencing his own imagination: lines and profiles, patterns and repetitions, fragments, assemblages, simplification, and monumentality.
The exhibition brings the sculptor’s Egyptian collection into dialogue with his own works, revealing the decisive influences of Ancient Egypt on his art. From modest figurines to majestic statues, Rodin’s Egypt invites visitors to juxtapose two aesthetics of the human form: Ancient Egyptian and Rodin’s very different vision, and to reflect on the diverse connections that unite them through the conversation the exhibition creates.
