When Taiwan badminton star Chou Tien-Chen went for a checkup as part of his Olympics training, he wasn't expecting to find out he had colon cancer.
"I'm really lucky they found the cancer cells," he says. Having caught the cancer at an early stage, Chou could be treated with minor surgery and returned to competition much more quickly.
