Johannes Vermeer

During the winter of 1942, Henry Moore was commissioned to make drawings of the coal mines at Wheldale Colliery in Castleford, where his own father had worked. 

He described the claustrophobic tunnels as 'some terrible manmade inferno'. The sketching campaign he embarked upon led to the creation of over 150 drawings, capturing the dark atmosphere of the mines. 

Moore was fascinated not only by the curved brick walls and cavernous spaces of both bomb shelters and mine tunnels, but by the human experience of being in them.

我大四時1974-75，東海圖書館進了好幾本Times-Life 的藝術家叢書。

3. 「畫中畫」揭示信件內容
解開這封信本質的最重要線索，藏在少婦身後的兩幅「畫中畫」： [1]
  • 平靜的海上帆船： 這是最關鍵的解碼。當時的徽章書（Emblem books）常將「海上的船隻」比喻為「在愛情之海中航向愛人港灣的追求者」。 [1, 2]

1989-95，經常去新加坡，有機會跟要去印尼的台商與日商聊天。
2002-03年，當寶成Nike事業部顧問，有機會去他們的中國、越南與印尼廠工作。
2014年寶成在中國有勞資衝突。
現在連越南都有事。

1977年，我初到英國，發現商店中的Horlicks幾乎完全被冷落。
Ovaltine(阿華田)的情形類似。
英國或歐俄各國，大肆喝酒狂歡的場面很平常，這在英文俚語用bender等等字 (Slang. A spree, especially a drinking spree)。

電影One Day 有句：
We could go on an Ovaltine bender. 阿華田大宴
這是對乖女孩說的。
