甘為霖（Dr. William Campbell MD，1841年4月－1921年9月9日），蘇格蘭人，19世紀後期在台灣南部傳教的蘇格蘭籍傳教士，1891年10月於台南創立台灣第一所盲人學校－訓瞽堂，他是台灣盲人教育的先驅者。

1841年4月生於英國蘇格蘭格拉斯哥的甘為霖，在1871年時應英國基督長老教會之聘，前往台灣傳教。12月20日他抵達打狗，先前往嘉義南方的白水溪（今白河）設立教堂，1875年1月28日白水溪事件，教堂遭人燒毀，後以台南府城為中心，拓展傳教工作。1891年返回英國向格拉斯哥的宣導會募得資金500英鎊，同年10月於台南府城洪公祠開設盲人學校訓瞽堂，這是台灣盲人教育的先聲。訓瞽堂在清日甲午戰爭期間曾關閉過，日本治台後，他數度勸請日本政府成立官辦的盲校，1897年兒玉源太郎總督下令在台南莊惠院創立官辦盲人學校（後改為台南州立盲啞學校，今台南啟聰學校前身）。1894年擔任「長老教會中學」（今台南市私立長榮高級中學）代理校長。1917年2月甘為霖返回英國，1921年9月9日逝世於英國的波納毛茲（Bournemouth），享年80歲。
John Bucher: I loved it. And I think it’s really interesting that we live in this time when in response to any issue or story, we all feel like we are entitled to a take on it, an opinion on it. I don’t go into these storytelling experiences with that frame at all. I believe the storyteller is saying, “This is how I see the world. You can agree or disagree.” And this was originally a poem that was sung. If we think about Nolan being the latest bard and the bardic tradition of singing this song to us, every bard would sing the song differently. The point was never to try and get some sort of pure version of a story. That was never of deep concern to ancient audiences. Myth is about opening up stories, not narrowing it down to specific historic moments.

John Bucher is an award-winning writer / director / producer from Los Angeles, California. He has spoken on five continents about story, film, spirituality, and pop culture. He has served as Executive Director of the Damah Film Festival, Director of Story Development for the Global Short Film Network, and currently teaches at the Los Angeles Film Studies Center (LAFSC). He has developed story con-tent for organizations ranging from HBO to the U.S. Figure Skating Association. His blog, Welcome-ToTheSideshow.org, is read by thousands in more than 70 countries each year. In addition, he writes a regular weekly column on storytelling in film and television for LA-Screenwriter.com, and is active on Twitter at @johnkbucher Jeremy Casper is an award-winning writer / director / producer from Los Angeles, California, and currently teaches film at the Los Angeles Film Studies Center (LAFSC), where he has workshopped well over a thousand short films with his students and alumni. He is a graduate of the LAFSC and re-ceived his M.A. in Communication with an Emphasis in Film Directing and Cinematography from Re-gent University. His film, Vacant House, premiered at the United Film Festival in 2013 and has won several festival awards, including "Best Screenplay" and "Best Feature Film." Jeremy also works with the Global Short Film Network and the Visual Story Network and has led screenwriting and directing seminars in Los Angeles, as well as in Egypt, Ukraine, Ethiopia, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Jordan, and remotely in England and the United Arab Emirates.
