John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne was an English singer, songwriter and media personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which period he adopted the nickname "Prince of Darkness".

1999年，我12年級，在溫哥華唸高中，我的美術教室裡有一台CD機，一個現在年輕人看到也不知道怎麼操作的機器。
我會自己播Black Sabbath的專輯，整堂課，就是Ozzy的歌聲陪我們畫畫。
就算在那裡，在那時，聽Black Sabbath的高中生已經是少數人了。
美術老師是個大鬍子的光頭大叔，他不只不阻止，還很開心，說他年輕的時候在美術學院裡也都聽Black Sabbath，當其他人還在跟嘻皮在那愛與和平時，他們這群已經在聽重金屬。
那時候，Ozzy還沒有成為實境電視節目的主角，所以除了有在聽搖滾樂的人以外，我這輩的年輕人也還不太認識他。
Ozzy出生自己英國的工業大城Birmingham的勞工家庭，從一開始，Black Sabbath的音樂就帶有濃厚的工業色彩，黑暗、陰霾。後來他們成為史上最偉大的樂團之一，但又經歷各種挫折，團員的吸毒、酗酒，甚至Ozzy被樂團開除，遇到他的愛妻Sharon來把他整理乾淨、重新出發，但又遇到單飛後最重要的音樂夥伴，天才吉他手Randy Roads的早逝打擊。Ozzy仍是Ozzy，並成為了美國實境電視秀上那個古怪但可愛的脫線搖滾巨星爸爸。
Ozzy後來再與Black Sabbath復合，就像離婚後重聚那樣。幾年前，Ozzy被診斷出有帕金森氏症，不只不恬靜休養，他們反而不停歇巡迴表演。
在兩週前，他們還回他的故鄉老家Birmingham，那個已經把他們幾人奉為在地傳奇、英雄的老城鎮。在那裏，他們舉辦了「最後演出」而且演唱會名稱就叫「回到最初」Back to the Beginning。
Ozzy已經沒力氣站，但坐在象徵黑暗王子的椅子上，仍然把全部的生命力都唱給了他最熱愛的搖滾樂。
