台灣國寶級師傅手繪電影海報48年 BBC專文介紹

（中央社倫敦8日綜合外電報導）台灣手繪電影看板大師顏振發，因作品不輸數位輸出的成品而屢受外媒矚目，英國廣播公司（BBC）旅遊版今天也刊出鉅細靡遺的報導，詳盡介紹這位台南全美戲院的鎮館之寶。

66歲的顏振發這輩子沒見過電影明星，但出自他畫筆的電影海報之多，他早記不清總數了。過去48年來，顏振發幾乎每天手持小型圖片及5桶油漆，日復一日地在台南全美戲院對面的人行道上作畫。

在這個數位輸出及電子廣告招牌的時代，全美戲院是台灣唯一仍持續使用手繪電影看板的電影院，而顏振發是全球碩果僅存的手繪師傅之一。

一個炙熱的午後，顏振發如往常在人行道上賣力工作，他結合了建築師追求的精確度及印象派的創作天賦，在線條劃分的網格中勾勒圖像，「不可能的任務：全面瓦解」（Mission: Impossible - Fallout）裡的「阿湯哥」湯姆克魯斯（Tom Cruise）瞬間躍然於紙上。

顏振發蹲在萬花筒般的油漆罐旁，他靜靜地說：「我一生畫過數千部電影，但我的名字從未出現在工作人員名單上，我也從不在作品上簽名。不過，在某種程度上，我覺得我是電影製作的一分子。」

只要有電影，就有電影海報。1910年代全球掀起默劇熱時，各處的劇院都聘請藝術家繪製新片海報，藉此在觀眾走入戲院時，攫取他們的目光。

到了1940年代，好萊塢電影公司開始將印刷海報輸往全球。但許多地方的手繪熟手工資仍低於告示牌大小的印刷品費用，因此十幾年來，電影院持續使用手繪電影看板妝點自家門面。

不，現在有了，由日本導演今關明好歷時一年拍攝的「顔さんの仕事」《顏師傅的看板人生》，講述的是今年榮獲台北電影節卓越貢獻獎的顏振發老師，精彩的人生紀錄故事。

週五晚間在顏振發老師最熟悉的全美戲院舉辦首映。

這部電影不會在全國上映，只在台南全美戲院看得到，6/29、6/30、7/6還有機會。

顏振發老師，值得一部屬於他自己的電影。



印度寶萊塢也在上個世紀聘請300位藝術家，為播放公主和大君系列電影的戲院添色。在1990年代前，非洲迦納的藝術家則在麵粉袋上畫電影海報，戲院工作人員可將海報捲起，帶到下一個放映地點展示。泰國、緬甸及菲律賓的藝術家們則在竹梯上繪製電影中最令人難忘的場景及角色劇照，直到1990年代末為止。

但也許手繪電影看板的工藝在台灣扎下得更深、更實的根，巨型油畫海報曾經是各街道上最吸睛的景色。

多年來獨自工作的顏振發個性害羞且話語輕柔，他需要兩到三天的時間才能完成一幅畫，「一切都從畫臉開始」。

台灣電影業1970年代鼎盛期間，顏振發每個月以驚人的速度產出100到200張手繪電影海報。如果他喜歡這部電影的數位印刷海報，他會仿照海報畫一幅巨大，夢幻般的作品。

如果顏振發不喜歡海報，他就會坐在空盪盪的戲院前排觀賞電影，然後帶著比他本人還大得多的6塊帆布面板，將自己的風格與電影的情節融為一體後，提起畫筆創作，「以一種新的方式向它致敬」。

把繪畫視為人生伴侶的顏振發一生未婚，投入手繪創作，如今台南全美戲院雖已成台南人氣最高景點之一，但多年來，在對街作畫的藝術家卻被人們忽視。

顏振發說：「民眾經過時常常看著我，不敢相信這出自我手，這讓我難過。」

「但是當我看到小朋友抬頭看著劇院，還一臉興奮，我就會想起自己的童年，然後我就笑了。」

全美戲院經理吳俊誠表示，這間戲院孕育了李安的電影夢，當年李安還只是個年輕的學生，電影海報也非常吸引他。吳俊誠說：「只要顏師傅可以，我們就會盡力維持這項傳統。」

顏振發一生作畫，對他的視力造成嚴重傷害。多年前，醫生發現他的視網膜嚴重受損，雖然院方救回他的左眼，但右眼幾乎全盲。然而顏振發仍堅持畫下去，直到再也看不見為止。

幾年前另一位師傅放棄手繪電影看板之路後，顏振發驚覺台灣的手繪電影傳統很可能隨著他的視力衰退而失傳。因此，在手繪看板近50年後，顏振發4年前開始培養接班人，延續這項傳統工藝的生命。（譯者：鍾佑貞/核稿：盧映孜）1071109
