我想起昨天的諾貝爾獎(經濟)的拍賣理論與關係網路：並非所有交易都(能/會)採用拍賣。我上次見吳兄，是在6年前忠信兄的兒子訪漢清講堂*。
上周上周見到他夫妻，是因未親戚的一輛Lexus 要賣。先找忠信兄，他再介紹吳兄。很快成交。很可能買賣雙方都滿意。

林語堂的故居，因有林氏之墓，勉強可以，可是內容貧乏，連林先生的主要英文著作都沒.....
胡適的，幾十年不聞不問，連個全集都還在努力之中.....

現在才稍微 翻一下8月買的這本書： 花亦芬《在歷史的傷口上重生：德國走過的轉型正義之路》，2016。
提問：(pp.151152 )Hitler's Willing Executioners: Ordinary Germans and the Holocaus (1996)
Executioners 是雙關語：翻譯成"自願為希特勒執行命令的人"沒錯，不過原文還有"死刑執行人"的意思。
p.157 的註27，原著說是Aleida Assmann*的書，然而頁156-157的說話者是 Yehuda Bauer。……

有關Goldhagen 著的 Hitler's Willing Executioners 書名的翻譯，的確，executioner 有「執行死刑者」之意，但因考慮到該書討論的內容更為廣泛，比較是對猶太人全面性的迫害而言（不是所有人都被處以死刑，有些人是驅逐、有些是送進奴工營...），所以我沒有採用「執行死刑者」之意，而選擇從廣義面來翻譯。……

"臺灣於1895年開始被日本殖民統治，至1945年日本戰敗剛好滿50年。朝鮮是在1910年大韓帝國與大日本帝國簽訂「日韓合併條約」後，大韓帝國正式滅亡，成為日本殖民地，至1945年共被日本殖民35年。臺灣是自1925年開始自製劇情片，至1945年總計不足十部。反觀朝鮮在日本殖民時期，自1924年製作第一部純正韓國電影起，在默片時期(1924-1934)即製作了96部劇情片，有聲電影時期自1935至1939年共完成26部片，在朝鮮映畫令頒布後至少又完成了二十餘部為殖民政府宣傳用的劇情片。同樣為日本殖民地，也同樣在1920年代中葉才開始有自製影片，但為何臺灣的劇情電影製作數量僅有朝鮮的百分之七，確實值得研究。"----第二屆(2016)臺灣與亞洲電影史國際研討會：比較殖民時期的韓國與臺灣電影

這張照片對我也新奇。Essex 大學座落Colcherster 的Wivenhoe Park，正面的房子是原所有人的家屋。我在1977-78年讀書期，它類似校友會館。1992年我與瑞士朋友到Ipswich開會，路過母校，問過該館租金，果然不菲。2012年開始招生，2014年第一屆畢業生。參考：http://www.edgehotelschool.ac.uk/about-us/history/
